Mayan for “the secret” Mukul is a 5 Star Luxury Boutique Hotel nestled in Nicaragua’s virgin emerald coast. We were contracted to create the look and feel of the experience including custom lighting, furniture and fixed finishes. Each piece of custom furniture is first designed by Alicia Robleto then handcrafted to her specifications by local artisans.

Panoramic indoor/outdoor reception
The experience of this 5 star hotel comes to life with Alicia Robleto’s meticulous design and manufacturing of a completely custom set of furnishings. Indigenously inspired design with local hardwoods sustainably sourced and exquisitely designed custom fabric textiles, this place screams one of a kind AR design. Down to the custom pillows Alicia designed it all to provide the affluent guests with a foyer to serve as an introduction on the finest in the land.
BUILD LOCAL
The Alicia Robleto Collection comes to life with this custom designed and handcrafted dinning table. Each piece of this table and accompanying chairs were sustainably sourced and provided to local Nicaraguan artisans who carved this one of a kind piece. Through her design Alicia’s mission is to enhance the lifestyles of the local artisans by teaching and empowering them with a high-end trade that can be passed down from generation to generation.
Ocean front dinning
The Terraza, is a unique ocean front dinning experience in one of the worlds most virgin coastal countries. Alicia was commissioned to design the interior and all custom furnishings to provide the guests with a unique experience and taste of Nicaraguan flavored design. Each mural design was sketched by AR, then we commissioned mural artist to recreate her design on the walls.
INFINITY SUItES
Infinity pools encompass this beachfront resort so the beach to pool experience needed to be seamless. Alicia specified this experience for the hotels two signature 7,000 sq ft suits. These are no hotel room, they are full blown sprawling homes complete with every amenity you would dream of. Frequented by some of Hollywoods most prestigious celebrities, who sometimes want to commission some of the same Alicia Collection Custom furniture found in the suit!

A mammoth 40 foot wide chandelier designed by Alicia Robleto. This piece features dozens of 9 foot locally handwoven baskets with industrially engineered lighting mounted on a massive steal frame structure and hung 30 foot high as the showpiece of the Mukul 5 star resort foyer reception area.
